Could Vitamin D be key in beating coronavirus? Report says new study finds link

Posted May 14, 2020
By Brian Linder

Getting out and getting some sun during this whole coronavirus lock down?

If the answer is, “no,” you might want to consider changing that up.

Because, according to researchers from Trinity College Dublin have a new study out that indicates that vitamin D deficiency could be linked to higher mortality rates from COVID-19.

According to the report, the study “analyzed vitamin D levels of older people in countries heavily affected by coronavirus,” and they reportedly found that the areas with the higher death rates were also the areas with higher rates of vitamin D deficiency.

So, get out, get some sun, and let your body naturally produce that vitamin D for you. Or, get a plate of salmon or whole eggs or take a vitamin.

It could pay off in the fight against COVID-19.
